Secret or loud and proud painter/gamer?
Loud and Proud painter all the way. I’ve always been more into the hobby side than the gaming, I’ve been to tournaments and played regularly in the past but now I focus on the painting.
What age did you get into painting and what started it off?
I think I was around 11 or 12 maybe. It was started off by the Lord Of The Rings magazine that was started by GW. Which was weekly and came with models and paints.
What was the first model you ever painted?
The first model I started was Frodo I think. The first model I finished completely was an old metal Eldar Farseer.
What is your favourite brush/paint brand?
Favourite paint brand has to be the GW range. I use that range for everything, I’ve used some Vallejo and Scale 75 but the GW is fit for every occasion. I don’t have a favourite brush range, I use Windsor and Newton, GW and some Raphael brushes.
What are you working on right now?
Right now I’m working on some 40k Chaos Marines for myself as well as some daemons to go alongside.
What model would you love to paint that you haven’t done yet? Which
models do you really enjoy painting?
I would love to have a go at a Warhound Titan, something that size would be a great opportunity to expand and try some new things. I’m really enjoying the new Blood Bowl teams at the moment. Other than them pretty much anything from the 40k universe.
Where do you get your inspiration from? Mostly from other painters. I use Instagram a lot and draw inspiration from the ‘eavy Metal team.
What other creative outlets do you use (music, canvas, art, etc)?
Miniature painting is pretty much my only outlet. I wasn’t very artistic when I was younger so never perused any other avenue.
What is your favourite convention or event? What event would you like to go to?
My favourite was the old Games Days events. It was a great time and you got to see everything in one day, as well as get hold of some pre-releases. I would like to go to Warhammer Fest as it sounds like a similar event but over two days. I would like to go to Adepticon at some point as well.
